another "organisation" making a killing from stolen children

The Who Cares? Trust is a voice for children in care. Everything we do is designed to improve the day to day experience of children and young people in care - and their future lives.

What's new in care
Adopted children back Fostering for Adoption proposal
February 2013
The majority of adopted children support a new proposal to place children waiting for adoption with their prospective adoptive parents straight away according to a report published by the Children’s Rights Director for England.

A new ‘Fostering for Adoption’ scheme which will be proposed in the forthcoming Children and Families Bill would allow families who want to adopt children to become their foster parents while they are waiting for approval from the court for the adoption to go ahead.
Increase in ‘adoption parties’ likely
January 2013
Government reforms to the adoption process have continued apace into the start of 2013.

Recent months have seen a trial of personal budgets for families who need adoption support, improved pay and leave arrangements announced for adoptive parents, and the publishing of an ‘adoption hotspots’ map (which illustrates numbers of children waiting to be adopted across the country).

There are also plans to encourage ‘adoption parties’, despite recognition that they are a contentious issue.
