Care and justice services
G4S has been active within the criminal justice sector in the United Kingdom since 1992 after winning the contract to operate HM Prison Wolds; the first such contract awarded to the private sector
Since then we have won numerous contracts for:
- Childrens services
- Custodial and detention services
- Electronic monitoring
- Immigration and borders
- Monitoring technologies
- Policing support services
As an existing outsource partner with Government, we are able to draw on many years of knowledge, expertise and experience to bid for the provision of services beyond our heritage of secure facilities and services.
G4S already provides a range of Probation and Community Services through its Electronic Monitoring and Custodial Services businesses, as well as engaging with offenders on release via theWork Programme.
The caring approach used by our people is reflected in high standards of service provided for our customers and end users. Our ethos is founded on a philosophy of fairness, respect for human rights and the personal dignity of the people entrusted to our care. We believe in going the extra mile and getting it right first time every time.
We also provide specialist support and facilities management services for the justice sector.
